Coptic Orthodox Archdiocese of N. A. - Press Release - Nov. 7, 2017

By Mark - Posted on 08 November 2017

As a man opened fire in First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, 26 people - and dozens of others - had their songs of praise silenced by gun fire. This past Sunday November 5th also marked the 2017 International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. This is a story that the Coptic Orthodox Christians have had to endure on an increasingly regular basis.

On behalf of the faithful of the Coptic Orthodox Church, the Archdiocese of North America extends its hearfelt sympathies and prayers for the victims, the injured, the families, the first responders. May God grant protection for Christians throughout the world, comfort for the families of the victims, healing for the injured and wisdom for those who govern.
